Plot:

The movies takes place in the future, in the year 2019, where a disease has malformed pretty much all humans into evil vampires. Confronted with a diminishing blood supply available, the splintered leading race plans for their survival; in the meantime, an investigator works with an undercover group of vampires on a method to save humanity. Simultaneously, assemblages of surviving individuals wish to repopulate the group and live to tell the tale. Daybreakers premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2009.
